It includes two types as Autosome Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) and Autosome Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease (ARPKD). Among the two types, ADPKD is the common one, and it often presents the symptoms at grown-ups. ARPKD is the rarely type, and this type’s patients often die not long after their birth, only extremely small quantity can survive till the child age even till the grow-ups.

  SRC means that there is one or several size-different cysts on the kidney, mostly of the cysts are on one-side. And the morbidity of this disease can grow along with the increase of the age, and about half of those aged over 50 will be found out the cysts in a B ultrasonic inspection. SRC is the most common renal disease. Unless the cysts are very large, generally they do not influence the renal functions.   ACKD occurs mainly after the treatment of dialysis, and it has nothing to do with the age, but it is connected with the time of dialysis. According to some reports, most patients would present cysts if their dialysis time is over 3 years, and moreover, the number of the cysts in their kidney is no less than 4 and the diameter of cysts is about 2~3 centimeters. Besides, some of these cysts can get infection, even cause cancerization.

  Many patients with renal cysts are worrying that whether these cysts can undergo the process of cancerization, as well as whether they will suffer cancer once suffering the renal cysts.
