Is There any Differences between Nephropathy and Pyelonephritis?

Nephropathy and Pyelonephritis differs in terms of causation, symptom and prognosis.
Firstly, Nephropathy is the result of body immunoreactions to some pathogenic factors, other than caused by direct virus infection and damage to the kidneys. As to Nephropathy treatment, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial drugs prove to be not very effective. Symptoms of Nephropathy(Kidney Disease Symptoms and Treatment) include foamy urine, hematuria, swelling, waist ache. Foamy urine indicates the existence of protein in urine, and the more foam there is, the more serious protein leakage will be. Hematuria generally can not be detected by naked eye, and the detection of hematuria by naked eyes indicates a very serious illness condition. Referring to Chronic Nephropathy, the direct causation is not very clear and the early evolvement is asymptomatic, so the detection of Chronic Nephropathy in the early stag is not that easy. But some of its symptoms may sound the alarm. Edema in the eyelids and lower limbs is the early warning of fluid retention in the body. As mention above, foamy urine indicates the leakage of protein. Other exterior symptoms include waist ache and fatigue. Nephropathy indicates that damages to kidney exist, and they have brought about adverse effects to kidney function.
On the other hand, Pyelonephritis is caused by urinary tract infection. When urethritis or cystitis occurs, virus can easily invade into the kidneys and give rise to infectious disease. Acute Pyelonephritis is usually accompanied by symptoms like chill, fever, waist pin and tapped pain in the kidney area, but kidney examination index usually show no damages to kidney function. As to treatment, the application of anti-inflammatory and antibacterial drugs is effective. As long as eliminating these infections, a complete cure can be guaranteed. However, if kidney examination index show that there is rough renal cortical scar and caliectasis, the disease could have progressed into Chronic Pyelonephritis. This could be resulted from inappropriate or untimely treatment as well as frequent recurrences of acute Pyelonephritis.

When Pyelonephritis develops into Chronic Pyelonephritis, it can be more difficult to control the illness condition and purse for a complete cure.
