Fondue May Cause Chronic Kidney Disease
Diseases leading to kidney damage may be confined to the kidney, as in kidney infections, or may affect multiple organs, as in hypertension or diabetes. Approximately 40% of CKD patients have the disease as a result of diabetes, 30% have it as a result of hypertension, and 10% have it as a result of a disease called glomerulonephritis. Glomerulonephritis is a kidney disease that causes decreased output of urine, the spilling of blood and protein into the urine, and body swelling.
Diabetes mellitus is the most common cause of CKD. Diabetes, a disease that disrupts the way the body uses blood sugar (glucose), can lead to kidney damage and CKD. The high levels of sugar damage the kidneys over several years, and results in a reduced ability to filter blood and excrete waste products in the urine.
High blood pressure that is ignored or inadequately treated for many years can lead to CKD Hypertension, or high blood pressure(High Blood Pressure and Kidney Disease), is a disorder that leads to damage of capillaries. When the capillaries in the kidneys that filter the blood are damaged, kidney failure results. For this reason, it is important to keep blood pressure under control with medications, if necessary.
Kidney disease experts noted that people who often eat fondue have obviously high albumin in urine than other people don’t. Hot pot tends to cause Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD). To prevent to it, one has to avoid eating hot pot, i.e. on a diet.
a) balanced diet, drinking more water, timely urination, proper physical exercise each day, restraint from wine and cigarettes and scientific medication—all these methods are useful to prevent Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD).
b) As animal viscera, bean products, the ingredients in fondue and beer have high purine, more intake can increase the uric acid, which leads to hyperuricosuria, uric acid renal stone and decline in renal function. Drinking beer and eating fondue at the same time is the habit of Chinese people, which can cause metabolic disorder and impose burden on kidney. As fondue contains high fat and salt, it is harmful to eat more. At present, about 10% people have Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) to some extent.
c) Except healthy people have to restrain from it, diabetics, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and high uric acid patients should pay attention. These patients should have low-sugar, low-salt, low-purine and low-fat food. One has to take care of one’s diet. If you feel uncomfortable, you should go to see a doctor in time.
