The Symptoms of Chronic Nephritis in Women

Different from men, symptoms of chronic nephritis in women is a little different. The pathological factors are various and the manifestations are also different. But generally, their common presentations are edema, high blood pressure and abnormal amount of urine.
The first symptom for chronic nephritis in women is edema. In the whole process, most patients can have different degree of edema. In other words, edema can be slight or serious. They can find edema in eyelid or face in the morning. In the afternoon, lower limbs and ankle show edema as well. For serious patients, they can suffer from edema in the whole body. However, there are still some patients who do not have any edema in the entire progress.
The second symptom for chronic nephritis in women is high blood pressure, which is also a reason why patients go to see a doctor in hospital. After they have an examination of urine, they find out that they have had chronic nephritis, which is the cause of high blood pressure. As a matter of fact, for patients with chronic nephritis, high blood pressure will take place sooner or later. The rise of blood pressure can be continuous and it can also rise every now and then. In turn, high blood pressure can also worsen the damage of chronic nephritis.
The third symptom for chronic nephritis in women is abnormal urine. Abnormal urine is a symptom nearly all women patients with chronic nephritis are suffering from, which includes the change of amount and the abnormality under microscopic examination. Some patients with edema can have decreased amount of urine. The more serious the edema is, the less the amount of urine will be. As for those who don’t have edema, their amount of urine can be normal. When the kidney is damaged seriously, for example, when the concentration and dilution function decreases, patients will have more amount of urine at night. What’s more, specific gravity will also decrease. Under microscope, we can find that nearly all the urine of patients with chronic nephritis contains protein, the amount of which can vary from ± to ++++. In the sediment, we can find white blood cell, red blood cells, granular cast, hyaline cast. When chronic nephritis takes place progressively, there can appear obvious hematuria and gross hematuria,(Hematuria and Kidney Disease) and so on. In addition, women patients with chronic nephritis can also suffer from dizziness, fatigue, anemia and so on.

Last but not least, as long as women are diagnosed with chronic nephritis, they should go to hospital and receive better treatment. The sooner, the better.
