Why My Creatinine Level is High

Creatinine is the product of muscle metabolism, and it should be removed from the blood by kidneys along with the urine. But why some patients still have high creatinine levels?
For the healthy person, the normal range of creatininine level in the blood is 0.6 to 1.5mg/dL or 60-120umol/L(This value might be slight varied in different criteria).
As for the reasons of high creatinine level, it often includes a lot of varieties, such as diet, high blood pressure, Diabetes, and many other reasons.
At this time, what the patients should do is to go and take a series of thorough inspections. By examinations, the patients and doctors will have a clear understanding the underlying reasons for high creatinine levels. Based on the reasons, the doctors may adopt the according treatment plans for you.
As I have said before, the elevated creatinine level is a possible indicator for kidney damage, but it is maybe not the fact. High creatinine levels may also be caused by other diseases such as hyperthyroidism, acromegalia, etc.
If the elevated creatinine is really caused by the kidney damages, then this condition becomes somewhat serious. Why I say so? That is because although creatinine could reflect the conditions of kidney damages, however, it is not a sensitive signal in doing that job. When the GFR has declined to the one third of the normal GFR levels, creatinine then just begins to sharply climb.
So if the high creatinine level is really induced by the harmed kidneys, it often indicates your kidneys have been badly injured. So these patients should take necessary inspections as early as possible.

Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital has induced the advanced inspection equipments, which guarantees that you will have a thorough and clear understanding about your body’s exact conditions. Are you interested? Contact us if you do.
